Abigail 2

The Hits keep coming! My good friend Chris from Forts, and his wife Crystal just had their first baby. It was a little girl, and by strange coincidence... They named her Abigail. Abigail Christina-Jean Durand to be exact. The coincidence is that Tomi and Jeff also named their girl Abigail just one month ago. Here is a picture of Chris and little Abigail.

Money Pit?

This last Saturday we went to the Champaign County Preservation Society warehouse. They have volunteers who salvage homes that are being torn down. They sell woodwork by the foot, and have old doors of any size. It was pretty cool. We found a GIANT pedestal sink that we are looking at having refinished. The price.... A whopping 25.00! Here are 2 pictures I took while we were there. Door Hardware, More Door Hardware, A Bunch of Sinks, and a door we liked for the Pantry. The Kitchen is coming along. We are in a Black-out period for Dad, so I will not be sharing anymore photos till he comes in May. Speaking of the remodeling.... Ang had never seen "The Money Pit". A classic piece of 80's comedy! right up there with the "Burb's". One of the lines that keeps getting repeated by the contractors is "Two Weeks" (In reference to the finished project). Kind of ironic that we have heard that line a few times last week! Lets hope they dont make a movie about us! Part of my job at RK Dixon involves representing Cisco Systems products. They had a contest this last 2 months, and I got a few points towards merchandise. I used my points for a Telescope. Something that me and Ang can both enjoy, and hopefully Jr. wont destroy it as fast as me and Don destroyed ours! You wont believe the stars out here at night!

Kitchen Starts

Uh-Oh. My Kitchen guy called this morning and said that he wanted to start tomorrow! I took a little film, and now you all can see what was left before the great demolition. Sit back and wait, it will take about 10 minutes on a 33.6 connection. You may want to hit pause, go get a drink, hit the John, and it should be done. I have added some photos to the House page of the kitchen. Lets hope that we all look back at these, and go "Can you imagine?" "How could we stand it?"

Happy B Day Tom

Get this. Leahy calls me this weekend, and says "Lets do Lunch". We met up at Hooters in Bloomington today, and had a great time. Tom had a coupon for 10 free wings that came on his Birthday. Even though his birthday was 3 weeks ago, he was leery that he may get sucked into some Birthday cheer. Well, pretty soon, we heard the clapping. It looked like they were not going to embarrass Tom, but then our waitress ran over and grabbed Tom's hand. She pulled him up to the bar, and made him stand on a barstool to be ridiculed in front of everybody. The barstool held fast, and Tom stood there, and took it like a man. (I think he got that waitress's phone number). He knew when it was over that I wished I brought my camera! Bummer!!!!!!!

driveextreme.com

Worked all weekend at the EXTREME BARN SALE! Sold 3 cars in 2 days, and made a little cash to help out with the gutters. I was one of 35 salespeople on the floor that Saturday. I sold 2 of the 52 cars rolled! One guy walked out with 6 for the day.

Horse Fair

Did I mention Sonogram? We had the 5 month checkup on Friday, and the Doctor gave us a glimpse at Jr. He said if he had to guess.... He would guess Girl. So that means 51/49 girl at this point. DO NOT GET EXCITED YET! he said nothing can be conclusive till 7 months, and after seeing what he did, I agree. Its still a toss. I changed the links on the home page. You can still see the wedding photos under "The Don page" in the photo section. Added Terry and Penny to the Email Link Page. I cant believe that I missed them on there! Sorry. Family Members... Prepare for FORT PRIX Survivor. Its coming to your Email box soon! I cant believe I forgot.... I went to the Illinois Horse Fair this weekend with Ang. I was so bored that I had my classic allergic reaction. While sitting in the bleachers of the State Fair Grounds, my nose started running, and my eyes watered! It was like High School all over again. I hadn't had this reaction in years. I was really bored to tears! The only highlight of the day was horses pulling carts. I told Ang this, and she was pretty disgusted with me! But, I really perked up and paid attention when the horses were pulling something. Carts, Wagons, buggies.... even a log was entertaining. I did make a purchase at the fair. An authentic Aussie Brahma hat. I have been needing a wide brimmed cap for farm work, so now I will look truly "Red". Sunday we went to Columbia MO. for Angela's grandmas birthday. NEW Contractor Alert. Just when you thought we had come to our senses... We had a Garage door guy come out and give us a bid on 2 new garage doors and openers. 1300.00 bucks takes up all the way. We have 8X10 doors, so we are just a little bigger than average. Ang blew out the motor on the one door that worked, and now that she is pregnant she sees the value in openers.
