Yanks Win

Yanks Win. What a bummer. Rivera and the rest of the Yanks are really unstoppable, so it did not shock me that they won. I have this affinity for the underdog, and the Mets were certainly that! What was really great about this series was how close the games were. You cannot say that it was lopsided or a blowout. Every game was very close and could go anyway. It was fun, I hope the Mets can get back there next year. I loaded up 400 pounds of scrap metal in the truck yesterday. This was some of the leftover junk from the previous residents. Would you believe that 400 pounds of metal brought me $4.00? It is better than having to pay for it.... But not much! I still have another 4 or 5 hundred pounds of stuff laying around, so I will be "rolling in the cash" by early next week! I found some old Kev tapes the other day. So I digitized them, and made a CD. This was some funny stuff!

Timmies!

Oh my! What is going on with my Mets? They have not rolled over to play dead... But being down 3 to 1 does not look very competitive. Have I mentioned what a Spaz Mr. Newt is? As I sit here tonight and try to write, he is thrashing around on the couch next to me... Playing with a rabbit fur toy. Then when I am not paying attention... He crawls up to me and starts licking my fore arm. YUCK! We had a phenomenal time in Kentucky this last weekend. Look out for photos! If we go at our current rate of photo development, they should be ready by June. Grandpa gave me his old riding mower, and it made for an interesting ride home. One valuable piece missing on the mower is a muffler. I can not imagine a more horrible noise than the racket this thing makes. (no wonder Grandpa cant hear!) There is no wonder at why Grandma told him to get a new one. The decibels had to be driving the neighbors nuts! We have some barn cats now. Their name is "Tim". Barn cats tend to be pretty disposable, so we didn't want to get into the name game every time we have to feed them. The "Tims" started with 2 from the pound. 1 more showed up when we started putting food in the barn. so now there are 3! Whenever my digital camera arrives, we will get a picture of my "mousers"

Debate 2

Another debate tonight. This is it, and then we get stuck with all the commercials and talking heads for a few weeks. Mr. Newt got snipped and de-clawed this last week. I felt soooooo bad. I must be getting soft in my old age! He is doing fine, it was rough for a few days. I guess this means that he is staying in the house! Hershey made his first appearance at the farm this week. He is officially moved in, and seems to like it. I fed him an apple when Angela wasn't looking. I am trying to get on his good side. We are all revved up to get out of town for a day or two this week. Should be fun to take a little vacation. I took the Mercedes into the shop this week for some long overdue service work! I was sick of letting it crank for 4 to 5 minutes when I started it under 50 degrees. Finally ordered a digital camera to replace the Cobalt supplied one. I ordered the Sony FD-85 Digital camera. I like the Sony for 2 reasons. Floppy Drive, and rechargeable battery. It also takes short 60 second videos, so look out for those soon. GO METS! I can feel it. A subway series! I really wish that I had the time and money to get out to Shay for the World Series. I had it all planned if St. Louis won. We were going to make it down for a game. Oh well, I win either way!

Cleaning the Pasture

Big Debate tomorrow. Should be interesting to see what happens. The Vice debate last week was surely a highlight for anybody watching the political scene. Ang worked all weekend with a transfer of inmates at her prison. She was making good money, and is not complaining. While she was at work, I got to spend all day Saturday and Sunday pulling more stuff up from the back yard. I totally dismantled the secondary pasture behind the house. My little truck was spinning wheels as I pulled poles the size of "telephone utility poles". I hung some fence, and got to use post hole diggers! These thing make the "driver" look modern. Its like using tweezers to dig a hole...., Very Slow!

Horse Business

Updated the Horse Page for Angela. Amy, Vera's daughter, took a couple of photos of Hershey in the last few days. Take a look at the award winning horse. Monster wind Storm tonight. It figures, since tomorrow is trash day. I had a great view from my office window of boxes flying into the field behind the house . No, I am not too lazy to rescue them... It is raining and blowing 40 Mph. No Thanks! I got a call from a Major Auto Portal company today. They have an opening in Wisconsin, and wanted to know if I was interested... No Thanks, I have no interest in moving! Wow! The next time you see or talk to Angela, you have to congratulate her on the" Jubilee 25 mile endurance ride". She came in 4th overall at the finish line, but the big news is Hershey's conditioning. He placed #1 against 25 Arabians. This is a LARGE accomplishment when you consider that Hershey is a Quarter Horse. (Please don't ask me to elaborate on the differences, just trust these statements!) Vera placed 3rd overall.
